About Alternate Elevator

Alternate Elevator Sales and Service LLC is a locally owned and operated elevator company founded through a brother-and-sister partnership. The company was established to provide elevator owners with an alternative centered on better quality, dependable service, responsive customer support, and practical value. Alternate Elevator was established on December 1, 2008, and acquired its Florida DBPR Registered Elevator Company license in March 2009. In 2009, Alternate Elevator began providing preventative maintenance, repair, and inspection services for commercial and residential vertical-transportation equipment. The company expanded into modernizations and alterations in 2011, followed by new-equipment installations in 2013. Alternate Elevator began with one employee and has experienced steady growth throughout more than 17 years of operation. Today, the company employs 18 professional, dedicated, and hardworking individuals. Alternate Elevator serves a broad range of clients, from individual property owners to agencies of the United States federal government. Our clients include condominiums, commercial buildings, property-management companies, real estate professionals, medical facilities, K–12 schools, colleges, universities, churches, government buildings, correctional facilities, military installations, hotels, and amusement parks.

Our Service Philosophy

At Alternate Elevator, providing superior service at a reasonable price is our first and foremost priority. Our continued adherence to proven monthly maintenance routines reflects our commitment to maintaining each client’s vertical-transportation equipment to the highest standards possible. We believe preventative maintenance should be thorough, consistent, and tailored to the specific needs of each unit. This approach helps improve reliability, identify developing concerns, and protect the long-term value of the equipment entrusted to our care.

Experience and Training

Alternate Elevator and its staff have extensive experience performing and supervising a wide range of vertical-transportation services. As a company, Alternate Elevator has more than 17 years of preventative-maintenance experience, supported by decades of additional industry experience among its individual team members. Our technicians have experience maintaining a broad variety of vertical-transportation equipment, including hydraulic and traction elevators, residential and commercial systems, and equipment serving buildings ranging from two stories to more than 20 stories. Every unit has its own requirements, operating conditions, and maintenance needs. Alternate Elevator currently maintains approximately 600 units of vertical-transportation equipment. All Alternate Elevator employees complete CPR, AED, and First Aid certification every three years. Employees have also obtained OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certifications and participate in weekly safety toolbox talks. In addition to required eight-hour continuing-education courses, our staff receives additional opportunities for industry, safety, and code-related education.
